Thank you for coming through. Enjoy discovering the portal. If you want to take something home, you can claim a Key ($250) or step up to the Builder tier — the only tier open right now, a pre-purchase limited drop at $250 for the anniversary. Or if you're trying to do something specific, send me a message and we'll have a quick chat — I'm around.
You've arrived while it's still being built — and that is the point.
A living house, not a finished store. Read it, or move on — there's no ask here, only the door.
inside:the thesis·the proof·the founder·new here?
What is this?
The door's explanation — where you find out what Maison Monbeau actually is before you're asked for anything. A living house (fragrance and skincare, founded 2014, built in public), not a finished store.
What does it give me?
Understanding, and a reason to care. Who's behind it, the proof it's real, and the one idea that organizes everything: storytelling is the essence, scent is the medium.
What do I do here?
Mostly read — or skip. No ask. The only optional move: open the "new here?" guide if you want the whole house explained in four answers.
Maison Monbeau, opening its doors in public. Not a finished store but a living house — built around self-worth, memory, and beauty, with the fragrance as the evidence. Constructed out loud, on purpose.
A working architecture for experiential giving. Not a brand. A stage, a costume, a door — for those who want to build something from the bricks that were thrown.
A fragrance and skincare house, founded 2014, built across South Africa, Dubai, and Los Angeles. In May 2026 we began the Bone Library — a manifesto, twice weekly, building toward a July 4 launch.
You are not early to nothing.

The room was filling before you arrived. Now your brick is in it.
Meet the Architect
"I'm building this in the open as a way of giving myself permission to be all of me — and to bring you in while I do it."
For years it was built privately — six territories, no outside funding, no paid advertising. This is the first time the doors are open while the work happens. You're watching it become, and you have a hand in it.
A peek behind the door. What you're buying isn't a fragrance — it's the whole world, and its standard: anchoring beauty to memory, an outlet to find yourself inside it.
Maison Monbeau
The house itself — the ritual, the fragrance, the standard. Africa's luxury maison, told in full.
MBM Studios
The production house and cultural source that curates and makes the experience. The engine behind the maison.
MJ the Mansa
The figure the work is told through — the mythic frame for the man building it. The lineage and the cause.
I did not build a brand. I built a house from the bricks that were thrown — and I left the door open.
— Chace Chimhanda · Founder & Chairman
In the founder's words
They threw bricks at the boy who dared.
He did not throw them back. He stacked them.
Brick by brick, into a house big enough for everyone who was ever told they were too much.
This is that house. You are already inside.
— The Bone Library · Chapter I
How To Read This House — a short guide to the world you just walked into. If anything here is unfamiliar, this is your key to it. Read it once and the whole maison opens.
What is this, really?
A members' house, not a shop window. The fragrance is real and you can buy it — but what you're entering is the world behind it: the story, the people, the making. The product is the evidence; the maison is the point.
Why does it feel like a game?
Because building something is a game worth playing. Every small act — a brick, a story, a note on the wall — adds to a house we're raising together. You're not a spectator here. You're part of the build.
What does the $250 Key get me?
Access to exactly where you are right now. This is an early-viewing window — a chance to watch the maison being built, live. When we launch fully, all of this moves behind the Membership club. The Key holds your place inside it before the doors close.
Do I have to play to be here?
No. Some come to build, some come to read, some come simply to shop. Every door is open — move through the house however you feel led.
The words of the house
Bricks
Your foundation. Earned, never bought — they mark how much of the house you've helped raise. They only go up.
Points
Your standing this week. They move you up the ladder and unlock what each rank opens.
The War Chest
The house's shared foundation — the bricks the whole maison has laid together since Chapter I. Built in public, traceable to what's real.
The Board
You and the people just ahead of you. The HUD at the top is the house; the board is where you sit in it.
MBM Studios
The production house and cultural source that curates all of this. The maison is the house; MBM Studios is how it's made.

Voices of the House
Stories of the week.
Some members gave the house a story — a father, a memory, a becoming. We don't score these. They are held as a sacred act.
I met Chace at the Beverly Center years ago, at one of the lowest points in my life. He hit the spritz — il du Nord — and I was like, bro, what is that? Then LA Noir on a crew neck I was buying. Ultra fire, different from anything I'd come across. We've been talking ever since — hours at a time, real truth about life, family, where we started and where we're going. I negotiated a vial on the house for when I came back, and he held up his end, because his word still means something. Peu d'Amour. Monbeau became part of my growth. It's the only fragrance I wear now.
Julius✦ A sacred act
Walking into the Beverly Center with my dad the day before a life-changing surgery. Walking out, I was handed a card with La Oberoi — which has become my signature scent. My father and I spent the next hour in one of the most impactful conversations I've ever had, with a guy named Chace. An imprint was left, two books recommended, two fragrances bought. My dad, who hates spending money on fancy things, spent $250 on a fragrance for me — simply because the conversation was worth more than the bottle.
Greyson B.✦ A sacred act
The crisp sound of polished dress shoes against the hardwood. The floral aroma of his cologne from Spain, where he learned to speak English. I would wake every morning to the sounds and smells of my father getting ready for the hospital. An immigrant's daughter, the best-smelling man I know — I am forever his petite ange. The comfort of L'Petit surrounds me with his memory.
Sarah✦ A sacred act
My dad, Anton. An incredible man whose humour, smarts and generosity know no bounds. From the breezy Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago, his charm and charisma are outweighed by nothing in life. He has been the best dad a daughter could dream of — and at the young age of 77, he looks better and smells better than ever, with the lingering scent of Delaire Domaines.
Nissa✦ A sacred act
Sabe Le Sable makes me feel sexy in a way that is quiet but undeniable. It reminds me of golden hour somewhere wild and open, when the air feels warm, charged, full of possibility. There is something soft in it, but also something untouchable — like a person who does not need to chase attention because they already have it. When I wear it, I am not pacing through the world. I am prowling.
